Hello Kitty is all grown up

Remember walking through the Sanrio store and wanting everything on their shelves? From the notebooks to the pencils to the pencil cases! Sanrio has given Hello Kitty lovers something else to ooh and ahh about! Sanrio has collaborated with MAC Costmetics and will be debuting their limited edition MAC Hello Kitty Collection! According to Beauty Anonymous makeup blog, this collection will be released on February 10th on www.maccosmetics.com, and will hit the MAC counters in North America on February 12th. The international release is scheduled for sometime in March.

Faith Hill to debut her Signature Fragrance

Grammy Award Winner, Faith Hill is the latest celebrity to join the fold at New York-based fragrance company Coty. Her signature fragrance is tentatively scheduled to debut fall/winter 2009. (via http://www.cosmeticsdesign.com)

Prada to launch Limited Edition Fragrance

Looking for a new scent? Keep an eye out for Prada's New Limited Edition Fragrance, Prada Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger, due to launch this March! As stated by Robin from Now Smell This perfume blog: "It is the first in a projected yearly series of "Ephemeral Infusion" fragrances. Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger was developed by perfumer Daniela Andrier, and is described as a "descendent” as of Prada Infusion d'Iris and Prada No. 4 Fleur d'Oranger. The notes include orange blossom, tuberose and jasmine. Prada Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger will be available in 50, 100 and 200 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products. (via wwd)"

Celebrity Scents: Then & Now

From Britney Spears to Paris Hilton to Jessica Simpson, celebrity scents have flooded the market and have been proven very popular. According to the article Are Celebrities Driving the Trend in Designer Perfumes?, it states, "One of the first celebrities to introduce her own perfume was Elizabeth Taylor. The launch was met with a mixed reaction. Many critics felt that celebrity perfumes were just the latest craze and would soon fade away. But today the growth looks strong. As new celebrities emerge from the limelight so it seems does a new designer perfume. It must be working though. Perfume sales are at an all time high but I suspect unlike the original designer labels that have stood the test of time as celebrities fade away so will the sales of their perfumes." So who's next to launch a signature scent?

As featured in Now Smell This perfume blog, British pop singer, Leona Lewis is set to launch her first perfume in conjunction with German Brand LR. The fragrance will be titled Leona Lewis, and is due to launch later this year. (via vogue.co.uk)
